Profesora Emilce Verez

 

Emilce Verez ha estado involucrada en la enseñanza de diferentes tipos de manualidades por muchos años: Primero, como maestra de cerámica y pintura en tela en los años 80 y como maestra de porcelana fría luego de su llegada a EEUU hace 20 años.

 

Poco después, se dió cuenta de que las mismas herramientas, técnicas y moldes utilizados en la porcelana fría, también se usan en la decoración de pasteles con pasta de goma y pastillage. Sin embargo, al notar la baja calidad de muchos de los moldes disponibles en el mercado, decidió fabricar sus propios moldes con la calidad que su trabajo y el de sus alumnas requieren.

 

Actualmente vive en Chicago, IL donde enseña decoración con pasta de goma y pastillage así como también, porcelana fría.

 

 

Emilce Verez has been involved in the instruction of different kinds of hand crafts for many years: First as a ceramics and fabric painting instructor in the 1980’s and upon her arrival to the U.S, 20 years ago, as a cold porcelain teacher in Florida.

 


Not long went by before she realized that the same tools, techniques and molds that are used for cold porcelain, are also used for cake decoration with gum paste and pastillage. However, after noticing the low quality of many molds in the market, she decided to make her own molds with the quality she wanted for her work and her student’s.

 

She currently lives in Chicago, IL where she teaches gum paste, pastillage and cold porcelain techniques.
